The Crescent Nebula and the Soap Bubble Nebula
This is one of my favorites. The objective was to get the smaller Soap Bubble on the left.
The Blue color in this photo are Oxygen iii while the Red is Hydrogen Alpha.
These Nebulae lie in the heart of our Milky Way Galaxy in the constellation of Cygnus the Swan.
The Grand Spiral, Messier 101
M101 lies just off the bottom of the pan of the Big Dipper, in Ursa Major.
Three hours each of RGB filters and 10 hours with Luminance filter.

Globular Cluster M13
This amazing cluster containing about 400K stars
is one of great wonders visually!
Interacting Galaxies
Messier 51 is one of the more stunning galaxies to photograph in the Northern Hemisphere!
This photo contains a combined 9 hours of LRGB.
There are four galaxies in this picture (see annotated version) M51 or NGC 5194, the obvious interacting companion, NGC 5195 as well as two distant galaxies, IC 4278 and IC 4277.
DISTANCE away:
M51: ~23M ly
NGC 5195: ~25M ly
IC 4227: ~320 M ly
The Western Veil
This is only 1/2 of a Supernova Remnant that is the same apparent width of 5 full moons.
20 hours of capture time in Sulfur ii, Oxygen iii, and Hydrogen Alpha.

The Squid and the Bat
This was my most difficult capture from my home in the bright light pollution.
This was an experiment to see how much Oiii I could get on this faint target in light polluted skies. This is 20 hours of Oiii.
At 619mm focal length, I could only get on wing of the bat :-)
